Industry pioneer in laboratory contamination control equipment located in Sanford, ME is seeking a Quality Technician.
Responsibilities of this role include:
Inspects, identifies root causes and documents internal rejections in the Quality Management Log.
Conducts “quality checks” on the production floor to ensure that product, labels and documents are accurate.
Compile, track and analyze data and reports on any identified patterns or trends.
Collect, track, and report monthly objectives data.
Participates in weekly quality meetings.
Participate and document internal customer audits and other quality assurance activities, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Apply independent judgment to determine if material or components meet quality standards.
Conduct and maintain in-process inspection of materials and products to ensure product quality.
Investigate and manage customer complaints and non-conformance issues - initiate preventative actions.
Write, review and approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) as required
Generate inspection checklists.
Provide value to our customers by using concepts to identify and eliminate waste in all forms.
Uses systemic thinking by seeing processes from end to end, and works to challenge the status quo to eliminate the root cause of problems.

Requirements of the Quality Technician:
High school diploma required
Minimum 8 years Quality Management Systems
Experience with Microsoft Office
Requires high attention to detail
Strong organizational skills – able to plan and prioritize multiple tasks/projects
Detail-oriented and strong communication skills
Be able to use precision measurement tools and extrapolate results effectively
Salary consideration for this position is starting around 40K. The schedule is first shift Monday thru Friday and offers some flexibility for the right qualified candidate.
